Tuesday, 7:00pm

At Stan’s Restaurant, Hwy 412 at I-65, Columbia

The Parent Orientation Meetings are an opportunity to meet other parents as well as have questions answered. The information will be provided by our Headmaster Rev. Jones.

Every parent new to HCS or returning is encouraged to attend, enjoy the evening and continue their own learning. There will be drawings for several door prizes. It’s educational and it’s fun!

Due to the nature of the meetings, it is suggested that other arrangements be made for younger children. Older children are welcome. Parents need attend only one of the meetings.

You may have noticed that our website continues to be updated. All forms will be posted soon.

The orientation will begin promptly and last no more than two hours. If you need to enroll your student(s), please come a few minutes early (or to eat supper with Rev. Jones). An updated HCS Handbook and reporting forms will be provided for parents and explained.

2nd P.O.M. at our office in Lobelville, Saturday, , 10:00am

Website updates

Updates to the HCSedu.com website are being made all the time. Forms are available for printing and provisions for payments on-line are being made.

Christ’s servant

You may or may not have noticed that I (Headmaster Jones) close my correspondence with “Christ’s servant” before signing my name. I have done this since I began ministry over fifty years ago.
The Apostle Paul wrote to the Corinthians, “Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God.” (1 Cor.4:1) It is a statement of purpose as well as statement of his calling and a goal to be fulfilled.
Through my years, I have at times failed to live up to that scripture, but the Holy Spirit has continued to draw me to the “the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” (Phil.3:14)
I urge all of you to do the same.

READING

Recently our electric co-op included an article on “The Importance of Reading” in their monthly newsletter. It is an excellent article which I believe every parent/teacher needs to read. It can be accessed here: www.kathleendavisbooks.com.

HEALTH

I am encouraged that my health continues to improve. Your Headmaster expects to be around for several more years before any retirement. …David O Jones
